FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WILMINGTON, Del. (USA) — Solenis, a leading global provider of water and hygiene solutions, today announced that Solar Coca‑Cola’s Suape facility in Brazil has been recognized with the Solenis Sustainability Award for its data‑driven approach to improving water efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and increasing production availability through cleaning‑in‑place (CIP) optimization.
“By re‑engineering the CIP process and validating a simplified, single‑stage cleaning approach, the Solar Coca‑Cola team achieved meaningful reductions in water, energy, and chemical use while improving operational availability,” said Sabino de Almeida Soares, Solenis regional sales manager, Food and Beverage Brazil. “This project demonstrates how targeted hygiene and process improvements can deliver measurable sustainability benefits and operational value.”
Working with Solenis, Solar Coca‑Cola implemented a single‑stage CIP solution for its water treatment plant that delivered the following sustainability benefits:
“Our objective was to improve operational flexibility while reducing our environmental footprint,” said Cesar Roberto Souza da Silva, Industrial Manager at Solar Coca-Cola. “Partnering with Solenis enabled us to validate a cleaning solution that strengthened hygiene performance, conserved resources, and supported sustainable growth at our facility.”
